Resilience retreat, Snowdonia, Wales

Get away from the hustle and bustle. Immerse yourself in nature and bring back balance through yoga, nourishing food, breathwork and workshops to learn some practical tips and tools to incorporate into your life.

The past 18 months has been challenging for all. Everyone has been impacted by the stress in some way and its important to keep yourself recharged so you can be at your best personally and professionally.

The programme

The 3 night programme will combine yoga, workshops and local excursions such as hikes, clifftop walks or bicycle rides. Overlooking a beautiful, expansive beach with views of Mt Snowdon, you will leave feeling revitalised and equipped with some practical tips and tools to build your resilience.

Morning yoga classes will begin with meditation and breathwork moving into an uplifting, dynamic practice to strengthen and align the body. If weather permits, we may do some classes on the beautiful, expansive Harlech beach with a swim after for those that dare!

Each day after morning yoga and breakfast, we will run a 2 hour, informal workshop. The session will be experiential, giving you an opportunity to learn and practice some evidence based tools and techniques for managing stress and building a resilient mindset to help you navigate inevitable challenges that life presents.

After a healthy, nutritious lunch, there will be the opportunity to explore the breathtaking surroundings of Snowdonia through walks and cycle rides. We will take you to the secret spots, off the beaten path. These excursions are completely optional so you may prefer to simply relax or explore on your own.

The evening yoga classes will be yin yoga, for deep relaxation – perfect preparation for a good night’s sleep.

Arrival time on Day 1 will be at 6pm, then checkout on Day 4 will be at 11am (1-4 October)and 10am (5-8 October).

To maximise your experience, you can incorporate a pre- and post 1:1 coaching session, a personalised resilience assessment and debrief and/or a Reiki session.

Groups will be small so don’t miss out on this unique opportunity!

Accommodation

Since the Victorian days, the small Welsh town of Harlech has been a wellness centre where people came to breathe in the sea air and enjoy the stunning surroundings of Snowdonia National Park.

Harlech is located at the top of the beautiful Cardigan Bay in North Wales – its vast sandy beach, views of Mt Snowdon and slow pace of life make it a perfect place to relax, re-energise and revitalise.

What is Reiki?

Reiki is a Japanese energy technique and a complimentary/alternative health treatment. Reiki is non-invasive and there are no negative effects. It is generally considered a very relaxing experience and can have noticeable benefits including reducing pain, improved mood and energy, improving headaches and similar. The Reiki practitioner has undergone an attunement and will conduct the treatment by slowly and gently moving their hands over the client. The treatment does not need to involve any physical contact, if that is the client’s preference. The treatment is neutral, making no attempt to fix the recipient or to change the client’s energy field – the practitioner simply rests her hands lightly on the body (or just above the body if preferred) and channels the energy and responds to what the practitioner may feel during the treatment in relation to the client’s needs.
